Terminal Evaluation of the UNEP – GEF Project: Developing Core Capacity to Address Adaptation to Climate Change in Productive Coastal Zones of Tanzania

This report is a terminal evaluation of a UN Environment-GEF project “Developing core capacity to address adaptation to climate change in productive coastal zones of Tanzania” The project was implemented between 2012 and 2019. The project aimed to reduce the vulnerability of livelihoods, ecosystems, infrastructure and the economy in Tanzania and to develop institutional capacities to manage climate change impacts, through improved climate information, technical capacities and the reduction of climate change vulnerability at selected sites with adaptation measures. The evaluation sought to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability.
