Linear alkylbenzene sulfonates (LAS), a-olefin sulfonates (AOS), and alkyl sulfates (AS) are anionic sulfonates with molecules
characterized by a hydrophobic and a hydrophilic (polar) group. Commercial mixtures Consist of isomers and homologues of related
compounds, which differ in physicochemical properties, resulting in formulations for various applications.
