Terminal Evaluation of the UNEP Project: 63-P4 sustainable United Nations (SUN) Facility

UNEP Evaluation Office (2016)

The Sustainable United Nations Facility (SUN) Project was launched July 2008 and, after several extensions of time, finished in June 2014. The SUN facility is a United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) initiative that provides support to the United Nations and other organizations in measuring and reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and improving their overall sustainability performance, promoting climate neutrality and improved resource efficiency in business practices. The objectives of the Terminal Evaluation (TE) of the project were to assess project performance (in terms of relevance, effectiveness and efficiency), and to determine outcomes and impacts (actual and potential) stemming from the project, including their sustainability, and based on this assessment identify lessons of operational relevance for future project formulation and implementation.
