DECISION OF THE MEETING - Seventeenth Ordinary Meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean and its Protocols;Adoption of the Action Plan for the implementation of the ICZM Protocol for the Mediterranean (2012-2019)

Adopt the Action Plan for the implementation of the ICZM Protocol 2012-2019 identifying key priorities, expected major outputs and accomplishments, time frames for their achievement, necessary partnerships to be established and the potential financial resources required. Priority for the next biennium is given to the development of the national strategies, the assessment of the state of the Mediterranean coasts, and to the Protocol implementation projects (CAMPs); Encourage the Contracting Parties who have not yet done so, to ratify the ICZM Protocol, and provide information about its implementation; Request the Coordinating Unit and PAP/RAC to coordinate and support the implementation of the Action Plan.
